Companies thrive when their people thrive. At Inspire, we aim to put people first in everything we do — from the employees we hire to the teams we build and cultivate.
Thanks to those talented and mission-driven employees, we are excited to share that Inspire has been awarded the Great Place to Work Certification™ for the fifth consecutive year — a prestigious award based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at Inspire.
This award serves as a reminder to our team on how well we're working together, showing up, and transforming how people access clean energy to help combat the climate crisis.
What is GPTW (Great Place to Work)?
Great Place to Work® is the global authority on company culture. Since 1992, they have surveyed over 100 million employees worldwide and used those deep insights to define what makes a great workplace. Hint, hint — it's trust.
With the help of Great Place to Work, organizations can assess their company culture and produce quality results by creating a high-trust work experience for all employees. In addition, their culture management platform, Emprising™, empowers leaders with real-time reporting, surveys, and insights they need to make data-driven people decisions.
Their benchmark data recognizes Great Place to Work-Certified™ companies and the Best Workplaces™ in the U.S. and more than 60 countries. Everything they do drives the mission to build a better world by helping every organization become a Great Place to Work For All™.
Earning a certification from GPTW, in our opinion, is a badge of honor that validates the positive employee experience and the unique and inclusive workplace culture we've created. We hope this certification will help us recruit new employees, retain existing ones, open partnership opportunities, and more.
How does the ranking system work?
GPTW uses a particular model and methodology to determine the certification and ranking of the Best Workplaces, gathering data using a Trust Index™ Survey and a Culture Brief™ Audit. The system adds the scores of six categories: trust within the organization, ability to maximize human potential, financial growth, leadership effectiveness, innovation by all, and values. From there, it determines a company's score and ranking.
Where does Inspire rank?
This year, 89% of employees said Inspire is a great place to work — 30 points higher than the average U.S. company. Additionally, employees at Inspire overwhelmingly feel welcome when they join the company (98%), feel that employees care for each other (97%), and feel that they can be themselves at work (95%).
Many of the responses reflect Inspire's leadership principles and values: focusing on the best outcome for the entire company while putting our team first and always treating others respectfully with open communication along the way.
How do our employees feel about working for Inspire?
"As the cherry on top of our mission-driven work, Inspire's community is top-tier. My favorite events have included beautifying the city of LA on Earth Day, awarding top talent at The Windy's, and learning how our industry can take steps to be more equitable." - Lindsey Tod, Communications & Special Projects Manager
"The best part of Inspire is that the management style & workplace truly make you feel like an invested stakeholder in the company, not just an employee. I feel empowered to offer new ideas, take on more responsibilities, and grow as a professional and a person." - Harry Dhanda, Senior Accountant
"I've never been more motivated by my work than I am at a purpose-driven organization like Inspire. There are always new challenges, which keeps my team and me learning and growing, and with that, the opportunity to have a tangible impact on the business." - Suzanne Seymour, VP of Brand & Communications
"As someone who’s worked in energy for many years, it’s rewarding to be a part of an organization striving to transform how people access energy for the better.
