SANTA MONICA, April 1, 2022 – Inspire Clean Energy announced today that it has been named the 2021 Retail Energy Supplier of the Year, awarded by the Energy Marketing Conference, the largest and longest running conference of competitive energy executives in North America. Inspire was recognized for being a “Certified B Corp”, meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance and transparency.
According to the Energy Marketing Conference official press release, “Inspire has excelled in making a positive impact on its employees and its customers. The company has endorsed the concept of business as a force for good and redefined ‘success’ by using profits as a means to a greater end. Inspire is making a difference in the world by generously supporting clean and sustainable power to the communities that need it most. It has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to nonprofits that provide solar-based solutions to people in countries that lack access to electricity.”
“As a certified B Corp, our vision at Inspire is to power a brighter world by providing our members with access to clean, renewable energy for their homes, so that together we can make a positive impact on the planet,” said Brad Bentley, President and CEO of Inspire. “We’re honored that the Energy Marketing Conference has recognized the work we’re doing in an effort to provide an easy and accessible way to help consumers transition to clean energy.”
The “Retail Energy Supplier of the Year” award was presented at the 17th Energy Marketing Conference luncheon with more than four hundred retail energy executives and business leaders in Houston on March 29, 2022. Among the nominees for this prestigious award were Gas South, Green Mountain Energy, Indra Energy, Octopus Energy, Pulse Power, Rhythm Energy, and Southern Federal Energy sponsored by Cinch Home Services. EMC17 consisted of more than sixty established industry professionals and thought leaders who spoke and engaged in five pre-conference sessions, seven interactive panels, and four executive workshops.
